For most of my life, I wasn’t thinking about becoming a writer. I was simply trying to survive.

Life took me down roads I never expected, through poverty, trauma, loss, family struggles, career success, devastating setbacks, and the long journey of learning that I was worth saving, too.

Today, I’m writing my memoir, No Destination. Just Forward., a story about resilience, perseverance, and finding the strength to keep moving when life gives you every reason to stop.

I left school after the eighth grade, never imagining that one day I’d write a memoir or share my story with readers around the world. Yet every challenge, every setback, and every small victory became part of the journey that brought me here.

Through this newsletter, I’ll share reflections on writing, life, healing, hope, and the process of bringing my memoir into the world. Some posts will be about writing. Others will be about resilience. Many will simply be honest conversations about what it means to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

If you’ve ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or like life had knocked you down one too many times, I hope you’ll find encouragement here.

Because no matter where we’ve been...

We can still move forward.

Thank you for walking forward together.
